The WISPR was created with help from San Francisco design firms Thing Tank and Sequitur Creative to create what the company calls "the next generation of portable vaporizers."
The device's creator, Oglesby & Butler, go on to describe The WISPR as "a complete re-working of the technology that made the IOLITE an instant best-seller. It’s elegant, effective, and truly design-forward."

Review from VaporizerGuy:
“I never tried the Iolite, although I think the WISPR is awesome. The butane lasts much longer than I expected it to, and this thing really vaporizes well! I really wanted a portable vaporizer and I have been really happy with the WISPR. ”
